On 8th October the Village Exploration group of the Banbury Branch of the University of the Third Age visited the village for a local history walk led by Dr Sarah Richardson. In spite of the wet and windy conditions, there was a good turnout with around 30 members attending. The group met in St John’s and then toured the village visiting the Old Rectory, Bitham Hall, Avon Carrow, St Joseph’s Catholic Church, St Joseph’s Cottage, Lower End and the Thatches. They then returned to the Reading Room for tea and cake provided by Deb Harvey on her lovely vintage china.
