A recent review of online communications in Avon Dassett has created a much clearer demarcation between the Parish Council Website and the Community Website.
Both websites have created an infographic to help clarify where to find information online and each also include links to the other website where appropriate.
Farnborough’s D-Day event is being held on Sunday 9th June (the day after the Avon Dassett event).
More details below.
A planning application that proposed to build a modern ‘dutch barn’ on farmland adjacent to the Grade II listed, historic house of Avon Carrow was refused by Stratford District Council on 22 May by a unanimous vote. Avon Carrow was built by Cecil Boyle at the end of the nineteenth century. It was bought by the Profumo family in 1926 and it was from the Carrow that John Profumo escaped the press when the spy scandal was exposed in 1963.
A previous application for two residential dwellings was also refused and went to appeal. The appeal was dismissed.
The full discussion can be seen on the Stratford District Council webcast.

The full category list can be seen on the website: https://www.warwickshire.gov.uk/cllrgrants
Applications can be submitted on the council’s website, and there are two different forms depending on whether the grant needed is over or under £350. Applications can be submitted from Monday 20 May at 9am, and the deadline for submission is Sunday 30 June at 5pm.
To support the application process, the Community Partnerships Team and WCAVA will be holding engagement sessions which will provide guidance and answer questions related to the application process.
