Avon Dassett Playground Re-opened
Avon Dassett Playground has re-opened. However, it is important to be aware of the following:
- COVID-19 can survive for several days on hard surfaces
- Users need to assess the risk themselves and decide if it is safe to use.
- Users should not enter the area if feeling unwell. The key symptoms of COVID-19 are here.
- The playground is not supervised and equipment is not cleaned regularly.
- Users should wash their hands before use and as soon as possible after use and/or use hand sanitisers.
- Social distancing of 2 meters (or 1 meter plus extra PPE measures) should be maintained.
- All clothing should be washed after visiting the playground.
- Consumption of food and drink is not permitted on the playground.
- The risk assessment for the playground will be kept under review and the playground may be closed if necessary.

Road Closure 22nd March
WARWICKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF C113 DASSETT ROAD, AVON DASSETT
Warwickshire County Council proposes to make a Temporary Traffic Order closing C113 Dassett Road, Avon Dassett from its junction with Lower End to a point east of the junction with Farnborough Road, to vehicular traffic.
The closure is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
The Order will commence on 22 March 2018 and will last for a period of 18 months, or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. The work will be carried out daily between 08.00hrs and 17.00hrs however the road will remain completely closed until all work is completed. It is anticipated that works will be completed by 29 March 2018.
Pedestrian access to and egress from properties and land situated adjacent to the length of road to be closed will be maintained at all times. Vehicular access will be maintained where possible.
An alternative route will be signed and is available via: Lower End, Church Hill, Avon Dassett Road, Bridge Street, Memorial Road, High Street, Station Road A423 Banbury Road, Ducketts Lane, Main Street, Mollington Lane, Dassett Road and vice versa.
The Council regrets any inconvenience that may be caused. The team dealing with this Temporary Traffic Order at Warwickshire County Council is County Highways South (Tel: 01926 412515).

New Opening Hours for the Yew Tree

Avon Dassett Post Office Re-Opens
The Post Office has now re-opened but will only continue if there is sufficient use.
It is currently open on Tuesdays from 9 am to 1 pm.
Please use this important village amenity as much as possible.

Avon Dassett Remembers
A poignant service was held at the War Memorial in Avon Dassett on Sunday 9th November. it was attended by serving soldiers as well as members of the local community. Father Bill presided over the short ceremony. Graeme Miller read the Roll of Honour and Peter Wallace, the poem ‘For the Fallen’ by Laurence Binyon. Wreaths were laid by members of the army camp at Kineton and by the chair of the Parish Council, Councillor David Hutt.
