About Us

We are a new group (as of October 2024) in Avon Dassett, whose aim is to raise funds, with your support, to improve the facilities at St John’s Church (Hub on the Hill) so that the community of Avon Dassett can use this beautiful building for things such as Yoga classes, Mums and Tots groups, a Choir, and many other social events, and by doing so help raise awareness of the history of the Church.
In its current state the Church is in need of facilities such as electric lighting, heating, toilet facilities and disabled access.  All of these ideas need financing and your support is crucial in helping develop the Hub on the Hill  into a more comfortable and inviting space.
We are assisted by the Churches Conservation Trust, which is a charity part-funded by the Government and whose interest in churches is on an historical rather than a religious basis.

Upcoming Events

Sunday 17th November, 11am – 1pm
Tea, Coffee and Cake event in the church.
There will be a raffle, guess the weight of the cake, and a chance to buy village Christmas Cards and Calendar.
You will also be able to take a look around the church.
