Dog Fouling is an offence and Stratford District Council take a proactive approach to the problem. As part of their campaign, targeted PATROLS are carried out across the district. For more information see this leaflet:
In March 2025 the District Council created a new Public Spaces Protection Order in relation to Dog Fouling making it an offence to allow your dog to foul on land without removing the waste without a reasonable excuse. This applies to all public places across Stratford-on-Avon District.
Please leave only pawprints! Obey the law and pick that dog poo off the floor!
By following these three SIMPLE STEPS we can work together to turn the tide on dog fouling…
- Where possible, set aside a designated area within your garden for your dog to use before you go out
- Carry disposable bags and avoid places where children play
- Worm your dog at least every six months
THE MESSAGE IS SIMPLE
- scoop it
- bag it
- bin it
