Fenny Compton & Gaydon Fire Stations at Risk

At a Cabinet meeting to be held on 9 November 2023, Warwickshire County Council will consider options which include closing Bidford, Fenny Compton, Henley, Shipston, Polesworth, Kenilworth, Wellesbourne and Gaydon fire stations. These will be turned into ‘surge’ stations required four times in every five years and the firefighters will be required to work from other stations or made redundant.

The Fire and Rescue Services Association have said that ‘local people will lose a valuable local asset with little or no gain to the area.’
